LOCATED OFF NOTTINGHAM ROAD IN SYRACUSE

In 1939, the Burlingame family installed a rope tow between separate levels of their golf course. A first for Central New York, one open slope with a 110 foot vertical drop became quite the skier  hang-out. Eventually, a J-bar was installed and the rope tow was moved to assist skiers uphill. Curiosity from all over drew visitors to this northeastern exposure which offered night skiing right from its beginning.
