LOCATED OFF Harris Hill Road outside WEST ELMIRA

After WWII, the Elmira Winter Sports Club was formed and with the cooperation of Chemung County, three trails and one slope were cut. Until 1952, a rope tow ran here next to the main slope creating a 250 foot vertical drop. There was a run-off trail into the valley which was skied when the necessary snow fell.
