INTERMONT

LOCATED OFF NORTH TOWER ROAD IN THE TOWN OF SOLON

Designed upside down on purpose, after purchasing a lift ticket, its visitors would be immediately skiing. A unique experience for central New York, bowl skiing was offered on its upper sections. For the novice, a T-bar lifted the the novice skier to the lodge. Added later, a second T-bar served an expert bowl. Eventually, all trails led to the base of its double chair which was top-to-bottom. Many trails were cut but never added before its demise. There was limited snowmaking over its 750 foot vertical drop. This was the first ski area to introduce all night skiing.
