RED WING
WAS LOCATED ROUTE 23 HOLLOWVILLE |
Basically, a wide open area with a northeast exposure, this hill was served by a rope tow which ran up its center. The slope had a 200 foot vertical drop which was constant in pitch. A "mini-lodge" at the base catered to its visitors. Although fitted for night skiing, strangely, this ski area never operated during the evening hours. This start-up lasted two years. Operated 1962-1963 and 1963-1964.
