BLUEMONT

AKA

DEER RUN

WAS LOCATED

ROUTE 10

STAMFORD

Before its closing, this operation served its 740 foot vertical drop with a triple and two double chairlifts, a T-bar and an occasionally used rope tow. With a northern exposure and plenty of water for SNOWMAKING, this ski area almost guaranteed great cover. An excellent program for the youth was created by owner, Avery Robinson. There was night skiing and, as a unique touch, bowling was available below the lodge.

This skiing began here in 1962 and continued until its closing in 1998. It was operated by four separate managements.
