PARK Development after the CCC.
The park's winter recreation program began in 1968 with the installation of a skating pond and the clearing of a hillside for skiing. The following year snowmakers were intalled and in 1974, Trailside Lodge was built. Although the snowmakers and tow rope are now gone, the park provides visitors with large inner tubes for sliding down the hill.
