As the next season began, Ed stared realizing the International was not the drive for the rope. More people were showing up and the torque factor wasn't there for handling the need to load more skiers.

Snow this year was decent with three major storms and skiing every weekend and holiday into April.

That summer, Ed makes a few changes to SNOWY ACRES. He grades the entrance to the parking area just off Mineral Springs Road. A better clearing was made to the area near the base of transference. Next to this area he builds a small shelter, found very needed the year before.

Ed finds a new engine at Montgomery Ward which looks to be the answer for increased uphill capacity. That fall, the new motor is rigged up and ready go.
