For this location, skiing began in 1939 on one open slope with a northeastern exposure. A rope tow up the middle opened 300 feet of well graded vertical. Closed from 1943 through 1946 as its owner, Ed Bunkoff, performed his duties in the 10th Infantry, operations resumed in 1947 with a restored rope tow. A small clubhouse with kerosene heaters was built at the bottom of the slope. This ski area last operated March 1967.
